On January 18, at 17:00, in the Small Gallery of the Mystetskyi Arsenal, photographer, member of the Ukrainian Association of Professional Photographers Mykhailo Palinchak will present a selection of photographs entitled "Illumination". Houses destroyed by air bombs, torture chambers, places of execution and mass graves in Kherson, Izyum, Bucha, Yahidne and the Chernobyl nuclear power plant - all 42 photos were taken since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

"This exhibition is about the fight against the darkness that is trying to envelop our country," - explains Mykhailo.

The peculiarity of the photos is that they were all taken with a flash.

"The flash exposes the process of photography: hands holding weapons, preparing food, outlining trophy equipment, are outlined and put on display. Here and now, in a moment that drags on and turns into doom. The photographs do not absorb reality, do not anesthetize it," - writes writer and radio host Olena Huseynova about Palinchak's photographs.
