On New Year's Eve, Russian troops attacked Kharkiv in two waves. On the evening of December 30, they fired six "S-300" anti-aircraft missiles at the central part of Kharkiv.

Then, on the night of December 31, they attacked with "Shahed-136/131" drones.

Fortunately, no one was killed in the attack. Instead, 28 people were injured of varying degrees of severity, including two children and a foreign journalist.

Police in Kharkiv region report that high-rise buildings, shops, a hotel, cafes, offices, and cars were damaged in the city.

"On the eve of the New Year, Russians want to intimidate our city, but we will not be afraid - we are invincible and indestructible!" - said Mayor Igor Terekhov.
