Russians have been shelling Kharkiv all day: injured citizens, fires and destruction in the photos of documentary filmmakers

In the afternoon of Wednesday, May 14, Russians shelled Kharkiv several times. A series of explosions were heard in the city. First, the Russians hit a residential high-rise building in the city center. As a result of this attack, apartments from the 9th to the 13th floors were destroyed.

Twenty people sustained injuries of varying severity, including a 12-year-old boy and an 8-year-old girl. Six people were hospitalized. "They are in average condition. The oldest man is 87 years old. In total, 1 civilian man is in serious condition. 11 people sustained moderate injuries. 5 are in a light condition," said Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.

"It is impossible to say that there are any military facilities here, as there are educational institutions, the subway, and residential buildings nearby," said Mayor Igor Terekhov.


People will be resettled from the house that was seriously damaged. He also added that in another place, Russians hit garages, 10 of which caught fire.

After that, the Russians launched several repeated strikes on the residential area. Some of the missiles did not explode.


The alarm in Kharkiv region was raised at 14:32. The Air Force warned of the launch of guided aerial bombs in the Kharkiv region. However, as early as 6 a.m. that day, several missiles were fired at the city and its surroundings. As a result of the attack, 7 high-rise buildings were damaged, and two people were injured.

Over the past month, Russians have increased the intensity of their attacks on Kharkiv with guided aerial bombs, and last week they broke through the border in two places in the region. They are now trying to move deeper into the region. Heavy fighting continues for Vovchansk.
