On the night of June 19, the Lviv region was attacked by Russian "shahids". Five kamikaze drones managed to reach the region and were destroyed. The village of Malekhiv in the suburbs of Lviv was damaged. There were several explosions there: there are victims and destruction.


In the private sector of Malekhiv, windows in houses were smashed and fences were damaged. Also, windows were smashed and balconies were destroyed in a high-rise building.

Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi reported two victims of the night attack. These are men aged 70 and 47. One of them was hospitalized in serious condition. Mr. Sadovyi also said that a total of 15 private houses and two office buildings were damaged. Among them are a private company and a research institute.

Maksym Kozytskyi, head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, noted that Russians destroyed the roof, walls and ceiling of the 2nd floor of the approximately 800-square-meter building of the State Research and Control Institute of Veterinary Preparations and Feed Additives. "Russia is at war with civilians. Russia is at war with scientists," Kozitsky emphasized.


In addition, overhead lines and electrical equipment were damaged in Lviv region as a result of a nighttime enemy strike.

"285 metering points were de-energized. Restoration work is underway," the press service of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine said in a statement.


In total, the Ukrainian Air Force reported shooting down 19 of the 21 Shahed drones launched by Russia at night.
