What did the international press publish in May? A selection of photos by Ukrainian documentary filmmakers

Italian, Singaporean, American, British, Canadian, and German media published photos by Ukrainian photographers in May. UAPF is proud of the documentary photographers whose photos represent their country in the international media and once again draw attention to the Russian-Ukrainian war.

Kateryna Moskaliuk's photo was published by the Italian newspaper Il Foglio.

Photos from Vovchansk of Vlada and Konstantin Liberov appeared on the pages of the British media outlet The Guardian.

Serhiy Korovainyi's photographs were published by the German publication Der Standard.

The Times, an influential British daily newspaper, one of the oldest in the world, published sports photos of Ukrainians during the war by Mykola Synelnikov.

Yevhen Maloletka's photographs of war-torn Vovchansk appeared in The Washington Post and The Guardian.

Photos of the aftermath of the enemy's shelling of Kharkiv and the action in support of Ukrainian soldiers held captive in Russia Olga Ivashchenko appeared in the Canadian daily The Globe and Mail.

The Dutch magazine Villamediana Magazine published an article about Olena Hrom's project Stolen Spring.

Oksana Parafeniuk's photographs of winemaking in Ukraine were published by The New York Times.

Roman Pylypiy's photo appeared on the front page of the French magazine Liberation. Also in May, the photographer's photos were published in: Time and Le Monde. 

Heorhiy Ivanchenko's pictures of the evacuation from Vovchansk were published: The Guardian, Le Temps and NZZ.

Yulia Kochetova's photos appeared in The Guardian.

The Straits Times, a Singaporean daily English-language newspaper, published photographs by Lviv photographer Roman Baluk.

Oleksandr Ratushniak's photographs visually complemented the articles on the Russian-Ukrainian war by Aljazeera and The Guardian.

The works presented in this article are not the whole list of published photographs by Ukrainian photographers in foreign media. Therefore, we urge documentary filmmakers to feel free to write about their own foreign publications in their social networks and mention UAPF so that we do not miss any achievements in the next selections.
