Oleg Oprisko is a photographer from Ukraine, whose enchanting, fairy-tale-like photographs have been widely circulated on the Internet. In an era where realistic photo manipulations are the secret sauce behind impossible images, Oprisko's work stands out for one simple, dazzling fact: they are not artificial digital manipulations. The photographs themselves are taken with Kiev 6C cameras (which can be bought used for approximately 50 dollars) and Kiev 88 medium format cameras with various lenses (for example, 90 mm/2.8, 180/2.8, 300/4.0). Each roll of film captures 12 shots, and Oprisko cannot review the photos he has taken until he processes the film.
