Volodymyr Petrov was born in 1988 in Kyiv, Ukraine. In 2005 gained a hobby in Film photography and from that moment on started documenting daily life focusing on human behavior and interactions. In 2009 graduated from the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. In November 2013 starting from the first day of the EuroMaidan protest began documenting the everyday life of protestors until the very end of the protest in February 2014 which by that moment developed into the Revolution of Dignity. Afterward bought a digital camera at the beginning of March 2014 and went to Crimea to document the annexation of the Ukrainian peninsula by russia.
