Yevhen Nikiforov

Born in 1986, in the town of Vasylkiv, Kyiv region. Works and resides in the city of Kyiv.

Started professional practice in 2005. Since 2013, has been working on independent documentary photo projects. Current projects concern the transformation of public spaces in Ukraine after 2013 and the process of decommunization. The practice involves documenting places in interaction with time and changes induced by social, economic, or natural factors. The key subject of study is public space as a battlefield of ideological conflicts.
