Anya Tsaruk

A Ukrainian photographer working at the intersection of documentary and fine art photography. Following the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, her work has focused on themes of identity, home, belonging, migration, and community. Through her photography, she seeks to present her homeland in all its complexity and to challenge the "othering" of people whose lives have been affected by the war.

Tsaruk's projects have been exhibited internationally and recognized with the Grand Prix at the Sarajevo Photography Festival, the Cortona On The Move | BarTur Grant — Emerging Prize Under 30, and the Fotografica NEXT Prize | Festival di Fotografia Bergamo. Her work is part of the collection at the Preus Museum in Norway.
