Oksana Maister

A Ukrainian photographer based in Berlin, Oksana is a co-editor of 525 by MYPH, a photography magazine celebrating contemporary visual culture.

Her practice examines displacement, the sense of place and its relationship with individuals, as well as home, memory, and family heritage. Combining staged photography with found everyday imagery, she draws on metaphor, abstraction, and quiet observation to explore how environments and objects shape human perception, and how personal narrative alters their meaning.

Oksana studied photography and photo design at Lette Verein Berlin. Her work has been exhibited across Berlin, Paris, and Ukraine—including KOLO Space, AFF Gallery, art+art Galerie, and the Korsaks' Museum of Contemporary Ukrainian Art—and featured in publications such as PHROOM, Fisheye Magazine, Zone Publishing, Safelight, and SEEZEEN.
