Ukrainian photographer, artist, musician, curator, and cultural scholar, born in 2001 in Kharkiv. He works with documentary and conceptual photography, combining visual practice with theoretical research in culture, photography, and literature.
His works have been presented in Ukrainian and international institutions, including YermilovCentre (Kharkiv), Dzyga Art Center (Lviv), Kunstraum Kreuzberg/Bethanien (Berlin), PinchukArtCentre (Kyiv), as well as in exhibition spaces in France, Italy, Germany, and the USA.
He has collaborated as a photographer and producer with Ukrainian and international media and institutions, including Ukraїner, New York Magazine, BBC, UNICEF, and the Council of Europe. He is a participant and co‑initiator of inter‑institutional exhibition and research projects, including “Show Your Documents…”.
He received a Master’s degree in Cultural Studies from V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. His photographic education was obtained at Chekachkov Photo Academy, MYPH – the School of Conceptual and Art Photography, as well as through specialized programs and laboratories dedicated to contemporary photography and curatorship. In 2024 he became a laureate of the President of Ukraine’s Grant for Young Artists. He also works with documentary cinema; his film *Lily of the Valley Collector* was awarded Best Cinematography by the Media Development Foundation (2023).
UAPP is an independent association of professional Ukrainian photographers, designed to protect their interests, support, develop and promote Ukrainian photography as an important element of national culture.
UAPP's activities span educational, social, research and cultural initiatives, as well as book publishing.
UAPP represents Ukrainian professional photography in the international photographic community and is an official member of the Federation of European Photographers (FEP) — an international organization representing more than 50,000 professional photographers in Europe and other countries around the world.
