The enemy terror in the Odesa region is relentless: Russians carried out three attacks on the regional center and seriously damaged the district hospital in Izmail. In the Kherson region, in addition to constant air threats, remote mining of civilian territories is recorded almost daily, according tothe Regional State Administration (RSA). Towards the weekend, Russians struck the western regions of Ukraine with drones. The enemy is deliberately destroying energy facilities, ports, administrative buildings, gas stations, and public transport. In total, over the week, Ukraine was attacked by approximately 1,600 Russian strike drones, nearly 1,100 guided aerial bombs, and three missiles, Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported.
Chronicle of Russian Shelling from April 27 to May 3, 2026
In the Shostka community of the Sumy region, on April 27, one person was killed, and private households and infrastructure facilities caught fire. During the day, Russians launched an airstrike on the Yampil community, significantly damaging a kindergarten and residential buildings; four people were injured and are receiving outpatient treatment. Early in the morning, 18 Russian drones attacked two enterprises and a critical infrastructure facility in Koriukivka, Chernihiv region, also damaging a shop, residential buildings, windows in the State Emergency Service (SES) unit building, and causing large-scale fires; two people were hospitalized in moderate condition. There were also hits on a boiler house, critical, and transport infrastructure facilities in other communities of the region. Over the day in the Mykolaiv region, one person was hospitalized in moderate condition; in the Zaporizhzhia region, one person was killed and another was wounded; two people were killed in Kramatorsk, Donetsk region, which was under attack by UAVs, FPV drones on fiber optics, and three FAB-500 guided bombs.


On April 28 in the Donetsk region, two people were killed, three were wounded, and there was widespread destruction of residential infrastructure, particularly in Sloviansk, where an enterprise and a minivan were damaged, and in Kramatorsk, where three multi-story buildings, a post office, and an administrative building were damaged. In the Konotop community of the Sumy region, five employees of a local enterprise were injured due to shelling, four of them in moderate condition; private residential buildings, a hospital, administrative buildings, transport, and infrastructure were also damaged; there was destruction in other communities of the region as well. In the Chernihiv region, Russian drones attacked agricultural enterprises, destroying hangars with grain and property, and setting fire to residential homes. During the day, Russians attacked Kyiv with drones, with falling debris recorded in the Shevchenkivskyi and Solomianskyi districts: in an open area, on the roof of an unfinished building, and on the territory of a cemetery; one person was hospitalized. In Kherson, a five-year-old boy was injured when the enemy dropped explosives from a drone into the yard of a private house. In Zaporizhzhia and the surrounding region, three people were wounded; in Mykolaiv, one was wounded; and in the Kharkiv region, two were killed and seven were wounded.
Overnight on April 29, the enemy attacked residential areas in the Shostka community of the Sumy region with drones and a missile, causing large-scale fires and killing one person. During the day, the region saw strikes on critical infrastructure and a motorcycle with passengers: a substation was damaged, two people were wounded, one of whom is in serious condition. In Kharkiv, a person was wounded in a UAV attack, damaging the glazing of a hypermarket garden center, six multi-story buildings, 25 private houses, railway infrastructure, a gas station, and transport. The enemy struck an industrial facility in Chuhuiv with a missile—a woman was injured; overall, nine people were affected across the region, with extensive damage in the Bohodukhiv district. In the Mykolaiv region, drone attacks on energy infrastructure caused power outages for some customers in the Mykolaiv district; five people were affected across the region, and a man in Mykolaiv was hospitalized in moderate condition. In Kherson, two people were wounded. Overnight in Kramatorsk, Donetsk region, a Russian drone hit a multi-story building, damaging houses and wounding one person. One person was killed and two were wounded in Druzhkivka; an FPV drone attacked the “Phoenix” evacuation group, hitting their armored vehicle directly with two rescuers and a police officer inside, though there were no casualties.
On the night of April 30, the enemy used over 200 drones and a ballistic missile against Ukraine. Energy and transport infrastructure in the Mykolaiv region were under attack. In Kherson, one person was killed and another was hospitalized in moderate condition due to a drone attack on the city center; throughout the day, Russians attacked public route buses in the central part of the city three times. In the Zaporizhzhia region, three people were injured as a result of Russian shelling. In the Chernihiv region, enemy UAVs damaged agricultural machinery at an educational institution, an hangar caught fire, two people were injured, and a UAV hit an administrative building in Chernihiv. In Kramatorsk, Donetsk region, the enemy struck a gas station.
Overnight on May 1, enemy UAVs attacked an administrative building in the center of Sumy, “Kordon Media” reported. The hits damaged the facade, shattered windows, and caused damage in the residential sector. In Mykolaiv, three people were injured, one of whom was hospitalized; an energy facility, five multi-story buildings, two private houses, and cars were damaged, and fires broke out. Since nightfall, Russian UAVs have been attacking residential areas in Kherson, causing damage and fires in homes, burning a postal office warehouse; one person was killed and one was wounded. In Kharkiv, there were hits on four gas stations in three city districts and one gas station in Chuhuiv, with fires breaking out in some locations, damaging equipment, cars, and a car wash building. Among the injured in the region was a 14-year-old teenager; railway infrastructure was attacked, with strikes on traction substations resulting in damage and fires. In the Zaporizhzhia region, three people were wounded; Russians struck a farm enterprise with aerial bombs, damaging equipment. In the Sumy region, 12 people were affected. During the day, Russians massively attacked a number of regions in western Ukraine with UAVs. In Ternopil, ten people were injured, and a fire broke out at an industrial facility. In Rivne, a fire started in a residential building, and there was an attack on the Zhytomyr region.
On the night of May 2, “Molniia” type drones attacked Sumy, with hits on infrastructure and damage in the residential sector. In Kharkiv, a drone flew into a 12th-floor apartment window in a multi-story building; there was no detonation, but the resident was hospitalized; during the day, Russian drones attacked five gas stations, damaging a car dealership, cars, and a multi-story building, resulting in casualties and one person wounded. In the Kharkiv district, six people, including a child, were affected by drone attacks on the private sector, causing fires; overall, 19 people were affected across the region. In Mykolaiv, there were temporary power outages due to an attack on energy infrastructure, and windows in a multi-story building were also damaged. In Druzhkivka, Donetsk region, one person was wounded, and a multi-story building was damaged; in Sloviansk, a fire broke out on the territory of an enterprise. In the morning, Kherson was under a massive drone attack involving FPV, “Molniia,” and fiber-optic controlled drones. Russians attacked two public route buses, killing two people instantly; a total of 23 people were injured in the Kherson community, including four utility workers and three children, two of the children in serious condition.
On May 3, two people were killed and nearly two dozen were injured in the Sumy region, including three children; specifically, the enemy launched a missile strike on the Konotop district, where three wounded people were hospitalized, two of whom are in serious condition. In the morning, a drone deliberately attacked a grain truck in the Hlukhiv community, and the driver was hospitalized in serious condition. The Kharkiv region reported casualties, with damaged targets including enterprises, an emergency medical vehicle, a bus station, and railway infrastructure. Early in the morning in Kherson, Russians used a drone to attack a service vehicle belonging to an enterprise, killing one man and injuring five; a subsequent attack damaged a medical vehicle. In the Kherson community, a massive UAV attack on residential neighborhoods resulted in three injuries and one death. In the Zaporizhzhia district, two people were killed and five were wounded, including a 7-year-old child. In the Donetsk region, two people were killed and nearly a dozen were wounded. Overnight in Mykolaiv, the energy infrastructure was attacked again, causing partial power outages in the region's settlements; in the city, a non-residential building and a trolleybus were damaged, and five people were hospitalized following a ballistic strike. In the Chernihiv region, an enemy FPV drone hit a 17-year-old boy, who was hospitalized with shrapnel wounds.

Odesa Region
On the night of April 27, the Russian army carried out another attack on Odesa, targeting residential areas and civilian infrastructure. 14 people were injured, including two children; five people were hospitalized, mostly with shrapnel wounds.



Damage was recorded in three city districts, most severely in the Prymorskyi district. Russian drones once again hit a multi-story building, where apartments were destroyed and a fire broke out. A private house and warehouses were damaged; fires raged in a hotel and dacha houses, in a closed shop, and the Odesa funicular structure, cars, and trucks were burned; windows were blown out in many buildings. The port area was also damaged.


“Ekonomichna Pravda,” citing the State Ecological Inspectorate of the South-Western District, reported that oil spilled in the Odesa region port, with a slick recorded on the water surface approximately 400 by 200 meters in size. The oil leak occurred as a result of the Russian shelling of the Chornomorsk port infrastructure on April 26, 2026, when fire damaged a 6,000-ton oil reservoir. Experts are assessing the damage caused to the marine environment.


The night of April 29 became a test for the south of the Odesa region. A massive attack by Russian drones caused significant damage to the hospital in Izmail, including the complete destruction of the emergency department, and severe damage to the therapeutic, cardiological, and surgical departments, as well as the ultrasound, X-ray, and other offices. Patients and medical staff were in the shelter during the attack. Residential buildings were also damaged, and a fire broke out on the territory of the Danube Biosphere Reserve. Two people were injured, and one person was hospitalized in serious condition.

Around midnight on April 30, the Russian army launched a massive strike on Odesa. As a result of hits and falling debris, dozens of civilian objects in the city were damaged: multi-story and private houses, a hotel, a kindergarten, an administrative building, a parking lot, private garages, and cars. Fires raged in the city.



The Prymorskyi district sustained the most damage: a multi-story building and a five-story building were affected, with fires on the upper floors and the roof; private houses, a kindergarten building, a shopping center, a hotel, and administrative premises were damaged, along with dozens of buses and cars in parking lots. In the Khadzhybeiskyi district, a one-story house, a five-story building, warehouse buildings, a garage cooperative, and a transport enterprise were damaged, where buses burned down.
The night attack injured 20 residents, including a 17-year-old boy; five people are in hospitals, two of them in serious condition.
“Iryna, a resident of the dormitory, after a terrible night, standing next to the abyss where her home collapsed, finds the strength to joke that now her apartment has merged with her neighbor's, and it will be easier to visit. Overnight, the enemy destroyed a kindergarten, a cozy hotel, and several apartments in multi-story buildings right in the center of the city. Currently, 20 people are known to be injured,” — photojournalist Oleksandr Hymanov recounts on social media about the residents of the destroyed building.


On May 1, the Russian army again attacked residential areas and the port in Odesa. The Khadzhybeiskyi district was affected. Drones struck a 16-story building, destroying an apartment, and fire engulfed the roof of the building. In another multi-story building, the 11th and 12th floors caught fire; two people were injured, including a young girl who was hospitalized in moderate condition. During the day, enemy shelling damaged the roof of a shopping center in the Odesa district, causing a fire there. On May 3, drone hits were recorded on three residential buildings in the Odesa district, and two more were damaged; two people were killed, and five more were injured.
Starting Friday, May 1, the enemy attacked port infrastructure facilities in the region every night: a warehouse, structures, and equipment were damaged, and fires occurred.

Dnipro Region
The Russian army attacked Kryvyi Rih several times during the week. Overnight and in the morning of April 28, Russians carried out several attacks on an infrastructure facility in the city; one man was killed, six were wounded, four of whom were hospitalized in moderate condition. On the mornings of May 1, 2, and 3, infrastructure in Kryvyi Rih was damaged due to attacks, and one person was injured. There were attacks on Kamianske, Synelnykove, and Pavlohrad, while Marhanets and Nikopol were under constant shelling. In Pavlohrad, a five-story building and about ten cars were damaged; four people were injured, including an 18-year-old boy. In the region, particularly in the Nikopol district, there is extensive destruction and damage to infrastructure, with fatalities and injuries reported.


On Sunday, May 3, the enemy struck near a gas station in the Kamianske district, damaging a bus carrying about 40 children, who were evacuated from the bus in time. Six people were hospitalized: five adults and a 10-year-old boy, who is in moderate condition. Four adults, including a pregnant 21-year-old woman, are in moderate condition, and one woman is in serious condition.

On April 30, the enemy struck the Dnipro district, killing one woman and injuring 18 others, seven of whom are in hospitals, with one man in serious condition. In Dnipro, one person was wounded; cars on the territory of an enterprise were destroyed, and an unused building was damaged; fires raged at the hit locations.
The following day, nine people were in Dnipro hospitals due to the previous attacks: two men in serious condition, and the rest in moderate condition.
