Submissions can be made in several categories: series of photographs, single image, and children’s category. All submitted works also have the chance to be presented at international exhibitions.

The total prize fund of the competition amounts to €11,000. The winner of the main award, Peace Image of the Year, will receive €6,000. Three winners in the Stories category will each receive €1,000, while another €1,000 is allocated for the winner in the Single Picture category and €1,000 for the Children’s Peace Image of the Year.

All winners will receive the Alfred Fried Peace Medal and an invitation to the award ceremony in Vienna on 24 September 2026. The organizers will cover travel and accommodation expenses.
