On the night of January 23, the Russian Federation launched a combined missile strike on Ukraine, using cruise, ballistic, aviation and anti-aircraft guided missiles. Six people were killed, and at least 70 others suffered injuries of varying severity. Information about the victims is updated.

First, the Russians attacked Ukraine shahedem, and already in the morning massively launched missiles from strategic aviation. Explosions were heard in Pavlograd in Dnipropetrovsk region, as well as in Kyiv and Kharkiv. As a result, cars burned and houses were damaged in the Svyatoshinsky, Solomensky and Pechersky districts of Kiev. 20 people were injured.

The mayor of the capital Vitaly Klitschko reports that in the Svyatoshinsky district, the wreckage of the downed rockets damaged the balconies of a residential building from 1 to 5 floors and four apartments. In another house, an unbroken combat part of the rocket was found, so the residents of the house were evacuated. Also in this area, a non-residential two-story building caught fire.

Also in the Darnytskyi district of Kiev, several places of debris fall, in particular on the roof of a 9-storey residential building — without catching fire. All emergency services continue to work at the places where the debris fell, Klitschko added.

The Russians attacked Kharkiv twice in the morning: at 04:00 they fired three missiles at civilian facilities and at about 07:15 they struck again at the same locations. As of 14:30 it is known about 62 victims, of which five people died.

In the Kiev district of Kharkiv, the entrance of an apartment building was completely destroyed as a result of the morning rocket attack. This was announced by the mayor Igor Terekhov: Now rescuers are trying to dismantle the rubble to find people under them. Also in one of the most affected parts of the Kiev district there is no light, partly water. The relevant services are working to eliminate the consequences of enemy shelling“.

According to the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State AdministrationSerhiy Lisaka, a man died in Pavlograd as a result of a massive rocket attack by the Russians.

In total, 41 means of enemy air attack were recorded during the night. Air Force of the Armed Forcesreported the destruction of 21 enemy missiles.
