This is the second open free competition for photographers and photographers from Ukraine all over the world who work with the medium of photography for no more than five years of active practice. By active practice we mean conscious, regular and consistent activity in the field of art photography, which includes:

  • creating your own photographic projects or series;
  • participation in exhibitions, competitions, residencies, portfolio reviews;
  • publication of works in the media or on professional platforms;
  • training, workshops, courses aimed at the development of photographic practice;
  • involvement in the artistic community and interaction with curators, photographers, institutions;
  • formation of author's style, subject matter, research or conceptual approach.

The five-year period is counted from the moment when the author (s) started such an active, public and purposeful activity in art photography. Until now, single amateur shooting or basic level training may not be taken into account.

Terms of submission and acceptable genres of photography
  • Citizens and citizens of Ukraine residing in Ukraine or abroad are invited to participate.
  • Photographers and photographers working with the medium of photography for no more than five years of active practice.
  • Artists and artists working in the field of artistic and conceptual photography are invited to participate.
  • All photographic techniques and forms of visual manipulation are accepted — from analog photography to digital collages, from classical approaches to experiments.
  • It is necessary to submit a series or a completed project of 8-10 photographs created during the last two years — 2024-2025.
  • The winners of last year's competition can submit new series and projects to the competition.
  • At the time of application, the author/author must be 18 years old.

  • Announcement of the competition — July 14
  • Deadline for submission of applications — August 24
  • Announcement of 8 Finalists/Finalists and 3 Winner/Winners — September 2025
  • exhibition, ceremony of announcement and awarding of the laureates/winners of the main prizes — October 2025

Competition partners select projects for special honors at their discretion, regardless of the choice of the jury.

  • 15 000 UAH. in support of women photographers from Ivanna Bertran. One project will be selected.
  • Certificate for studying at MYPH in the amount of 5 000 UAH for all non-prize places
  • Certificate in the amount of 500 UAH for all non-prize places from Polaclub
  • For participant/participant whose project was shot on film - 10 films of any kind to choose from + 10 manifestations and scans + printing of all photos from 10 films in the size of 10*15cm. from PHOTOVRAMCI
  • Professional production and design of a print from a project from VS-PRINT
  • The book “Conceptual Photography” by Creative Publishingfor all finalists and finalists of the competition
  • Book Set: “About Photography” Susan Sontag, Roland Barth. “Camera Lucida. Note-taking photos” from Museum of Kharkiv School of Photography (MOKSOP)
  • The Art Navigator Academy select their personal winner whose approach or project will resonate the most and give him/her full access to the flagship Creative Career Compass course starting in March 2026.
