Is it appropriate to highlight other genres of photography that continue to live in Ukrainian military realities? UAPP's position here is clear: our focus remains on highlighting our fight against the aggressor, the life of Ukrainians in the current difficult conditions, as well as attracting the attention of the world community to the events in Ukraine. Currently, this is the most important goal for which we are working and for which over the past year and a half we have organized more than 150 exhibition projects in the USA, Belgium, Latin America, Austria, Germany, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Switzerland, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Canada, Portugal, Italy, Great Britain, India, France, Georgia, Finland, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Ukraine. Nevertheless, as an organization representing the Ukrainian photography community all over the world, we decided to provide an opportunity for all authors of all genres to participate in this collective competition. In addition, the existence and development of all photographic genres in modern Ukrainian conditions is also an indicator of our resilience and tenacity.
So we found an elegant way to stay in our focal theme. You will have the opportunity, simply by placing a mark in the right place, at the same time to participate in the selection for the Ukrainian team, and for participation in our special project, if your competitive work in one way or another relates to the war. The special project is designed to show how war affects all aspects of life and even every genre of photography.
That is, if you submit a work in the wedding genre, but in the frame you have military, volunteers, or this wedding takes place in a shelter - we will include your work in a separate selection that we will publish on our sites with comments by the authors. The same goes for other genres.
Let's clarify, just in case, once again: when submitting a military image in the “portrait” category, you get into a competition, where works are evaluated exclusively by level, regardless of the topic, and before selection for our project. In the first case, you can join the team from Ukraine and win a trophy in the Cup, in the second — your photos and their stories can also be published on our sites and subsequently exhibited at our exhibitions.
And now a little details of the feed.

How many photographers should be on a team?
On behalf of Ukraine, we can submit up to 3 images in each category. The same photographer can submit a photo in several categories (even in all 10 categories!), but in one category the authors must be different. This is reminiscent of the Olympic Games, where an athlete can compete in several disciplines, but cannot apply for the same discipline twice. Accordingly, the number of images is 24, and the number of photographers can be from 3 to 24.
What is the cost of registration?
The contribution for the participation of the team ranges from €300 to €400, but the organizers made this year's participation of the team from Ukraine free of charge as a sign of solidarity. For which we are infinitely grateful.
How is the representation of the images?
Applications will be selected before submission to the international competition by members of the jury from Ukraine. In the future, the finalists will be added through the WPC online submission system and the works will already be evaluated by an international jury.
Technical requirements for participation:
Images must have the following parameters: a size of at least 4000 pixels on the longer side, a JPEG format of 10 or 12 (maximum) and a volume of up to 16 megabytes. Built-in profile: sRGB, Adobe 98 or Greyscale.
