UAPP, in partnership with The Kyiv Independent, continues its monthly feature—a selection of key photographs that most accurately convey the events, mood, and challenges of another month of the full-scale war.
This selection features not only major events but also everyday moments that, through the lens, become symbols of the time. These are photographs that capture pain, dignity, exhaustion, strength, and hope. Images that help us see and remember. Together, we are creating a visual archive of history unfolding right now.

The Air Assault Forces (DShV) are a separate branch of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, whose main purpose is to quickly respond to military threats and conduct rapid offensive and defensive operations. DShV units were among the first involved in operations such as the Kursk operation and the Kharkiv counteroffensive. Ukraine is preparing key changes in the mobilization process, as well as improved contracts and remuneration for infantry and assault units, seeking to attract more people to the military.

Russia and Ukraine exchanged 193 captured military personnel each—this was the second exchange this month, one of the few signs of cooperation between Moscow and Kyiv. Throughout the four-year full-scale war, the two countries have exchanged thousands of prisoners of war, and these exchanges have often been the only result of negotiations stalled on the issue of ending the conflict.
