Workshop in Kyiv: documentary photography about the war

Intensivefor Ukrainian photographers under the age of 35 working on long-term projects about life during the war. Work in a small group (up to 8 participants), focus — storytelling, developing your own idea, pitching. After the offline workshop, there are four online mentoring sessions.

Dates in Kyiv: September 17—18, 2025.

FOTOGRAFICA NEXT 2025 — international photo competition for the brave and young

This is a competition for those who speak the important language of images and are ready to be heard. Participation in the contest is free. The organizer is the independent non-profit organization FOTOGRAFICA, which organizes one of the key photo festivals in Italy.

Are you between 18 and 30 years old? Do you work with photography or digital art and are not afraid of complex topics? FOTOGRAFICA NEXT is looking for just such voices. The theme of this year's contest is As Brave As We Can As brave as we can be.

Accepted completed projects in two categories:

  • Photography — up to 15 shots.
  • AI Photography — up to 10 images.

The winners of each category will receive: 3000 euros and participation in the exhibition at the FOTOGRAFICA festival in Bergamo, Italy.

Copenhagen Photo Festival 2026 — Call for Solo Artists

InternationalOpencol for photographers and artists who seek to rethink the boundaries of photography — what it is and what it can be in the future. In 2026, the festival works with the theme Performances | Scenarios— scenarios as a form of thinking, vision, prediction.

Acceptedphotographic, video and lens-based projects in any form.

Grant W. 2025 Eugene Smith Grant

One of the most prestigious Grantsin the field of documentary photography and photojournalism. Supports both new and existing projects that explore important social topics related to the human experience.

Photographers from all over the world can apply, without age or regional restrictions. A multimedia addition to the photographic series is allowed.

Whats submit:

— up to 40 images representing the project;
— description of the implementation plan (up to 3000 characters);
— biography (up to 1500 characters).

Awards:

— Main grant: $30,000.
— Two finalists: $10,000 each.
