The deadline for submissions to Rotterdam Photo 2026 is January 6, 2026, at 00:59. This year’s edition is dedicated to the inner experience of war and its resonance within artistic consciousness. The theme — *Echoes of Silence – War in the Artist's Soul* — invites photographers to reflect on war not only as an event, but as a profound, often silent process that leaves a mark on a person.
Both professional and amateur photographers from around the world are welcome to participate. Applicants must be at least 16 years old at the time of submission.
The competition accepts both single images and completed photographic projects that correspond to the theme and explore it through a personal or artistic perspective.
Selected photographers will have the opportunity to present their work during Rotterdam Photo 2026 by creating their own exhibition within the festival’s container spaces — a format that encourages independent curatorial expression and direct engagement with the audience.
Submission requires a fee. The cost for project entries is €29 during the Early Bird period (until October 29, 2025) and €35 for standard submissions. Single‑image entries cost €19 per photograph.
The competition is organized by Rotterdam Photo.
