“The rescue operation at the house in the Darnytskyi district finished a few hours ago. The news of this terrible war crime reached us on our way from London, at the border with Ukraine. At that moment, our 5-month-old son went down to the shelter for the first time in his life with his grandmother. And I cannot convey my feelings from viewing the first photos from the strike site, and from realizing that nothing and no one can truly protect our children from this bloody war. Today, neighbors and simply concerned Kyiv residents are bringing flowers. 24 dead, three of them children. Like their parents, they were just sleeping in their beds. They are innocent”, — Kostiantyn and Vlada Liberov, who visited the scene of the tragedy after the search and rescue operation concluded, wrote on their Instagram.
