Photos of participants of the Ukrainian Association of Professional Photographers in the international press: a selection of February and March. The UAFF is proud of Ukrainian documentary filmmakers whose photos represent Ukraine in the international media and once again draw attention to the Russian-Ukrainian war. That is why the association launches a monthly column about photos of Ukrainian documentary filmmakers who have flown around the world.

Documentary photo Serhiy Korovaynyofrom the opening ceremony of the memorial “Cross of Heroes” to the second anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine was published on the first column The Wall Street Journal. The story about Ukrainian children kidnapped by Russia with photos of Sergei Korovayny was published in the February issue of a German magazine Der Spiegel. “Sergey was 16 years old when Russian troops came to his village and took him away against the will of his parents. He is one of thousands of Ukrainian children who have been in Russia since the beginning of the war. Now he has returned to his homeland, and his father asks himself: is this still my son?” - the material says.

Yurko Dyachyshyn is known all over the world thanks to Slavik's Fashion, a project implemented between 2011 and 2013, about a homeless man whom Diachishin meets on the streets of his native Lviv.

“Slavik's Fashion attracted the attention of famous publications, as well as fashion visionaries, from Lotta Volkova to Kanye. In 2016, the then artistic director of Vtmnts Demna Gvasalia drew inspiration from Slavik's costumes for the brand's first men's collection, officially cementing the connection between Ukrainian photographer Slavik and the fashion world. Even in 2022, the collection of the SS22 brand in many ways resembled the images worn by a man on the streets of Lviv,” the publication says.

The work presented in the material is not the entire list of published photos of Ukrainian photographers in foreign media. So we encourage documentarians not to hesitate to write about their own foreign publications on their social networks and mark the UAFF so that in the following selections we do not miss a single achievement.
