Foundation 2402 (Daily Humanity) invites journalists, producers, documentary filmmakers, and drivers of media crews to a security training with practical drills focused on drone-attack scenarios targeting civilians in Ukraine.

The free training will take place from 5 to 7 December 2025 in Kyiv and the Kyiv region and will be available to media professionals working for Ukrainian outlets or freelancers.

“In recent months, we have watched with pain as Russian drones attack journalists, humanitarian workers, and residents of frontline towns: in just one month in Ukraine, four journalists were killed by FPV drones, and even more were injured. Since our mission is to help save the lives of those working in wartime conditions, we continually seek resources to provide the skills and knowledge that are urgently needed right now. We are grateful that our colleagues at The Globe and Mail Foundation supported this initiative.”, said Kateryna Serhatskova, Executive Director of Daily Humanity and risk management specialist.

The HEAT (Hostile Environment Awareness Training) using FPV drones is an innovative approach to preparing for work in hazardous conditions, incorporating relevant hands-on scenarios based on real-life challenges.

The program combines refreshed knowledge in tactical medicine and wartime safety with practical scenarios that use drones and pyrotechnics to create the most realistic conditions possible.
