Thirty-seven people were injured and three were killed—these are the consequences of another Russian strike on Kharkiv on June 22, 2024. The occupiers hit the city with guided aerial bombs. Before the attack, the Air Force warned about launches of guided aerial bombs by tactical aircraft in Kharkiv region.

A hit was reported in an area of dense residential development in the central part of the city. Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov said so.

At first, it was reported that two people had been killed and two injured. However, it later became clear that the number of casualties had increased.
“There are no military facilities here whatsoever. One guided aerial bomb hit the building, and in total four guided aerial bombs struck the city today. The others hit enterprises in neighboring districts of Kharkiv. There is also one killed and three injured there,” Terekhov noted.

Those killed by the Russian guided aerial bombs included a woman who was waiting for a trolleybus. She was cut by glass shards. A man who was passing by also died—his leg was torn off.

The head of the Regional Military Administration Oleh Syniehubov noted that 16 people were hospitalized, including two children. Four are in serious condition. Doctors are fighting for the lives of four patients—two women and two men—who are in serious condition, Syniehubov added.
As of 6:00 p.m., the number of injured had risen to 37. Rescue workers are on site. Debris removal is ongoing.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky responded to another enemy strike on Kharkiv and published a video from the scene of the tragedy. This Russian terror with guided aerial bombs must be stopped—and can be stopped, the president insists.
“Strong decisions by partners are needed so that we can destroy Russian terrorists and Russian combat aviation wherever they are. We have already proven that it is possible to protect people and lives from missile terror, including by clearing border areas of terrorists’ launchers. We must also protect them from bombs. This determination is needed,” the president said.
