On Oct.8, 2024, at around 5 p.m., explosions were heard in Kharkiv for the second timethat day. A guided aerial bomb struck an open area near a densely populatedneighborhood. According to preliminary information, the enemy strike killed twopeople and injured three others.

“Thisevening, we’ll start covering the windows with OSB boards. And tomorrowmorning, a CNAP office will begin operating on site, where people will be ableto get assistance with filing documents for e-Recovery,” Kharkiv Mayor IhorTerekhov said.

The strikedamaged 15 multi-apartment residential buildings in the Saltivskyi district.Kharkiv Regional Military Administration head Oleh Syniehubov said that byevening, Russia hit Kharkiv and its suburbs with six aerial bombs. Overall,Russian attacks over the course of the day killed two people in the city andinjured more than 30 others.
