The Ukrainian Association of Professional Photographers is proud of the documentary photographers whose photos represent Ukraine in the international media and once again draw attention to the Russian-Ukrainian war.
The Washington Post published a photo essay by Oksana Parafeniuk, , dedicated to a family of Americans who came to Kyiv to bury their son. The boy fought on the side of Ukraine and died in a battle with the Russians near Avdiivka in 2023.


The American daily newspaper The New York Times published portraits by Oksana Parafeniuk of Ukrainian women who survived rape by the Russian military. In the article, the women told about their experiences.

Time magazine has published a new interview with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy with a cover by Sasha Maslov.

One of the most influential American publications, The Wall Street Journal , published Sasha Maslov 's photographs of North Korean soldiers who fought against Ukraine on the side of the Russian Federation.

The largest Swedish daily morning newspaper Dagens Nyheter published Karina Pilyugina 's photos on the front page in a story about nuclear weapons that Ukraine once gave up under the Budapest Memorandum.


British newspaper The Guardian published an article on the reaction of Ukrainians to the agreement with the United States on rare earth minerals with photos by Yulia Kochetova.




The American sports TV channel ESN published a photo report by Serhiy Korovainy about the “steel football team” - Ukrainian veterans who lost their limbs as a result of Russian aggression.



The Atlantic published a photo of Ivan Samoilov with the headline “Russia is not winning.”

The Guardian 's “Photo of the Week” selection includes a photo by Ivan Samoilov. The photo depicts rescuers and medics helping victims of the Russian attack on a hospital in Kharkiv.

The New York Times published a photo of Roman Pylypiy from the streets of Kyiv and a portrait of President Zelensky from a press conference.



The Globe and Mail, a Canadian English-language daily newspaper, published photos of Olga Ivashchenko in a story about Ukrainian mineral resources.


NPR, the largest nonprofit radio network in the United States, published the aftermath of the Russian attack on Kyiv, recorded by Anton Shtuka.



The works presented in this article are not the whole list of published photographs by Ukrainian photographers in foreign media. Therefore, we urge documentary filmmakers to feel free to write about their own foreign publications in their social networks and mention UAPF so that we do not miss any achievements in the next selections.
