Anniversary of the Olenivka terrorist attack
The tragedy in Olenivka occurred on the night of July 29: an explosion rang out in the barrack of Correctional Colony No. 120. The day before, Ukrainian prisoners of war, including defenders of Azovstal, had been deliberately moved there. Ukraine recognized this attack as a terrorist act. As reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General in the summer of 2024, investigative actions were still ongoing without charges being filed. This war crime claimed the lives of more than 50 people, and over 140 were injured.

Russians hit a printing house and a furniture workshop in Kharkov. Tragedy in the photo of Yakov Lyashenko
On March 20, at noon, Russian troops attacked Kharkiv with an X-59 missile, which hit a multi-storey civil industrial enterprise. Five dead and seven injured are now known. This was announced by the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleg Synegubov.

10 years ago, namely on March 16, 2014, the pro-Russian authorities held an illegal referendum in Crimea on joining Russia, which led to the annexation of the peninsula. Before that, the so-called “green men” appeared on the territory of Crimea — Russian military units without any identification marks on uniforms. The civilized world did not recognize the results of the pseudo-referendum, which was held without compliance with international standards and the supervision of independent observers.

On June 27, 2023, a Russian ballistic missile “Iskander” hit the cafe “Ria Pizza” in the city of Kramatorsk. The pizzeria was a popular meeting place for local youth, volunteers, journalists and military who were stationed nearby or returning from scratch. The city of Kramatorsk is located less than an hour's drive to the front line, but in the pizzeria “Ria Pizza” you could briefly feel the comfort of a peaceful life.
