Anniversary of the Olenivka terrorist attack
The tragedy in Olenivka occurred on the night of July 29: an explosion rang out in the barrack of Correctional Colony No. 120. The day before, Ukrainian prisoners of war, including defenders of Azovstal, had been deliberately moved there. Ukraine recognized this attack as a terrorist act. As reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General in the summer of 2024, investigative actions were still ongoing without charges being filed. This war crime claimed the lives of more than 50 people, and over 140 were injured.

Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, Nikolaev has become one of the hottest spots in the Ukrainian south. Residents of Nikolaev wake up from explosions almost every day. In the evening, missile attacks also continue. In 2019, Nikolaev chose for itself the slogan “City on the wave”. During the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war, Nikolaev became a city that does not sleep.

Ukrainian street photography community has changed its name. Founders explain the reasons
Opens new horizons and plans to go to a new level. The most popular group in the Ukrainian photo community on Facebook “Ukrainian street photography” has changed its name to “Ukrainian documentary photography”. Now the scope of the visual repertoire in the group will become even wider, but the publication rules will remain in force. The administrators of the online community call these changes “natural”.

On the afternoon of July 14, 2022, the Russian military struck Kalibr missiles in the center of Vinnytsia. As a result of the shelling, 29 people were killed, including children. July 15 in Vinnytsia and the region was declared a day of mourning for the dead.
