Anniversary of the Olenivka terrorist attack
The tragedy in Olenivka occurred on the night of July 29: an explosion rang out in the barrack of Correctional Colony No. 120. The day before, Ukrainian prisoners of war, including defenders of Azovstal, had been deliberately moved there. Ukraine recognized this attack as a terrorist act. As reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General in the summer of 2024, investigative actions were still ongoing without charges being filed. This war crime claimed the lives of more than 50 people, and over 140 were injured.

A cold spring in Bucha. People killed on their way home and a destroyed city through the eyes of Oleg Petrasyuk
Ukrainian military entered the city of Bucha in Kyiv region on April 2, 2022. Together with the units of the Armed Forces, journalists and photographers came here. The pictures from Bucha shocked the whole world. Today, the Ukrainian Association of Professional Photographers publishes photos of Oleg Petrasyuk, taken in the first days of Bucha's release. “What impressed me most was the resilience of our people.” Liberated Kyiv region in photographs by Oleksiy Furman
The Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated the Kiev region on April 2, 2022. During the occupation, at least a thousand people died there and new cemeteries grew up. The army of the Russian Federation left behind a terrible picture. On the streets of cities and villages lay the bodies of dead civilians, often with traces of torture, on the roads - burned bones of tanks and armored cars, civilian cars shot up, on the sides of settlements - mass graves, and most of the houses were destroyed.

The Russian military forcibly evicted the residents of Yagodny from their homes and drove them into the basement of the local school. About 400 people lived in the terrible crush, with virtually no food or water. Among them were children and even babies. There was no ventilation, toilet and no possibility to prepare food in the rooms. Slept sitting. Several people died. Today, the Ukrainian Association of Professional Photographers publishes photos of Daniel Pavlov, taken after the release of Yagodny. He has been a member of the association since 2022
