Anniversary of the Olenivka terrorist attack
The tragedy in Olenivka occurred on the night of July 29: an explosion rang out in the barrack of Correctional Colony No. 120. The day before, Ukrainian prisoners of war, including defenders of Azovstal, had been deliberately moved there. Ukraine recognized this attack as a terrorist act. As reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General in the summer of 2024, investigative actions were still ongoing without charges being filed. This war crime claimed the lives of more than 50 people, and over 140 were injured.

Ukrainian photographers — winners of the most prestigious world competitions

A large-scale exhibition of participants of the Ukrainian Association of Professional Photographers, which is entitled “They also fight for us”, was realized in the Czech Republic, Belgium and the USA. The exhibition presents more than 200 photographs that document vivid evidence of Russia's aggression and genocide in Ukraine, the lives of ordinary people in war and the brave struggle of our people not only for their own freedom, but also for the freedom of the whole world.

The Ukrainian Association of Professional Photographers (UAPP) in cooperation with the Museum of Modern German History in Leipzig and Bonn opened a series of large exhibition projects “UNABHÄNGIGKEIT! Fotografien aus der Ukraine 1991—2022”. The works presented at the exposition testify that the beginning of the war in 2022 is not the beginning, but a dramatic aggravation of the long-standing conflict between the two states.
