Anniversary of the Olenivka terrorist attack
The tragedy in Olenivka occurred on the night of July 29: an explosion rang out in the barrack of Correctional Colony No. 120. The day before, Ukrainian prisoners of war, including defenders of Azovstal, had been deliberately moved there. Ukraine recognized this attack as a terrorist act. As reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General in the summer of 2024, investigative actions were still ongoing without charges being filed. This war crime claimed the lives of more than 50 people, and over 140 were injured.

The Ukrainian Association of Professional Photographers (UAPP) and Chekachkov Photo Academy presented a series of lectures by Mstislav Chernov: Photography as a tool of manipulation. Manipulation in the media is possible even without pressure from censors. The flow of images is everywhere, it determines trends and tastes, influences changes in political regimes. The media constructs reality and is capable of determining the course of history.
