Anniversary of the Olenivka terrorist attack
The tragedy in Olenivka occurred on the night of July 29: an explosion rang out in the barrack of Correctional Colony No. 120. The day before, Ukrainian prisoners of war, including defenders of Azovstal, had been deliberately moved there. Ukraine recognized this attack as a terrorist act. As reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General in the summer of 2024, investigative actions were still ongoing without charges being filed. This war crime claimed the lives of more than 50 people, and over 140 were injured.

On New Year's Eve, from 4:00 to 6:00 hours, the Lviv region was attacked by Shahed drones. “According to preliminary information, 10 “Shahedeen” attacked our region. No casualties,” Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi said. All enemy drones shot down the military PVC “West” and mobile fire groups.

The Ukrainian Association of Professional Photographers, together with Danylo Poliluev‑Schmidt, continues to highlight events in Ukraine at the international level. Danylo held a seminar titled “Armed Truth – Images of Ukrainian Media” within the StudiumPlus program, where the exhibition “Armed Truth – 10 Years of the Revolution of Dignity and Euromaidan in Ukraine” was also presented.

On December 29, Russia launched 36 strike drones and 122 ballistic and cruise missiles across different regions of Ukraine. As a result, there are victims and dead in Kyiv, Lviv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Odessa and Zaporizhzhia. Russians shelled the railway station in Kherson – the aftermath of the tragedy in a photo report by Oleg Palchik
On December 26, almost 150 people were waiting for the evening train. It was at that moment that the Russians began shelling Kherson, in particular — the railway station. As a result of the attack, a policeman who helped evacuate people was killed. Interior Minister Igor Klymenko said that two other colleagues and several civilians were wounded.
