Anniversary of the Olenivka terrorist attack
The tragedy in Olenivka occurred on the night of July 29: an explosion rang out in the barrack of Correctional Colony No. 120. The day before, Ukrainian prisoners of war, including defenders of Azovstal, had been deliberately moved there. Ukraine recognized this attack as a terrorist act. As reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General in the summer of 2024, investigative actions were still ongoing without charges being filed. This war crime claimed the lives of more than 50 people, and over 140 were injured.

The publishing house Creative Publishing and the Mykolaiv school of conceptual and art photography MYPH have jointly prepared the photobook “Conceptual Photography.” The goal is to inform domestic and international audiences about contemporary conceptual photography in Ukraine by showcasing the works of its most prominent representatives. The authors of the book are Liusiia Bondar, publisher at Creative Publishing, and Serhii Melnychenko, photographer and founder of the MYPH school of conceptual and art photography.

On May 2, 2014, in Odesa, on Hretska Square and at Kulykove Pole, mass clashes took place between supporters of Euromaidan and participants of the pro‑Russian “Antimaidan” movement, followed by a fire in the Trade Unions House. Forty‑eight people were killed and more than 200 were injured.
