‍На початку липня 2026 року російська армія розгорнула масштабний повітряний терор, застосовуючи ракети, авіабомби та дрони по житлових кварталах, цивільних підприємствах, транспорту й мережах АЗС в Україні. Найважчих втрат зазнала столиця, через влучання в будинки загинула 31 людина, 102 людини травмовані. Обстріли інших регіонів забрали життя дітей, молодих людей і цілих родин: у Харкові загинули 23-річна дівчина та 15-річний хлопець, у Лозовій Харківської області й на Дніпровщині жертвами ударів стали дівчата десяти та семи років, у Сумах російська авіабомба обірвала життя матері з дитиною, у Ромнах — цілої родини. Внаслідок зростання кількості атак на АЗС у прифронтових регіонах є травмовані серед працівників станцій, також серед поранених — медики та співробітники Укрпошти.

During 2024–2026, the Ukrainian Association of Professional Photographers (UAPP), together with the international organization FotoEvidence, implemented the FotoEvidence Ukraine project aimed at preserving national memory, supporting documentarians, and restoring Ukraine’s cultural foundation. Drawing on more than a decade of experience in creating and publishing significant photobooks, the project set out to collect documentary material from Ukrainian photographers who had been documenting Russia’s invasion since 2014, to publish it and distribute it free of charge among schools and libraries. The total print run of the published photobooks amounted to four thousand copies, of which more than three thousand were distributed among libraries and educational institutions in various regions of Ukraine and abroad. The Ukrainian Association of Professional Photographers sums up the results of the project, which lasted two years.

“Not Alone” is a sensitive documentary photo series by Dasha Tenditna dedicated to Ukrainian motherhood in wartime conditions. The project tells the stories of women, including the wives of fallen Heroes, who are raising children during the war. Dasha Tenditna seeks to show the resilience of Ukrainian mothers and to remind society that they should not be left alone with their painful experiences. It is a visual story about life that continues despite everything, and about love that never disappears.

Russian troops deliberately attack fuel infrastructure in frontline regions. In June alone, 13 strikes on gas stations were recorded in Sumy region. In Zaporizhzhia, service stations, gas stations, municipal and private enterprises come under attack daily. This week, energy facilities and Naftogaz sites were also targeted. Continuous shelling keeps killing civilians: a ballistic strike in Kryvyi Rih killed five people; in Kherson region, two humanitarian demining specialists lost their lives and their colleagues were hospitalized; in Odesa region, a fragment of a “Shahed” drone killed a young woman on the beach; in the Black Sea, a sailor of a civilian vessel was killed. Ballistic strikes were also recorded in Kyiv, injuring two people.

Destruction of monuments is a war crime without a statute of limitations. The enemy damages and destroys them, and what cannot be ruined is stolen. Russians spare not even those monuments that hold exceptional value for the entire world and are protected by international law and UNESCO. More than half a thousand — specifically 536 cultural sites in Ukraine — have been officially recognized by UNESCO as damaged as of May 2026. Each such crime is documented — according to Ukraine’s Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko, over 240 criminal proceedings have already been opened and 15 suspects identified. To record and preserve evidence of every crime — damaged church buildings, devastated cultural centers, destroyed theaters, burned collections — Ukrainian documentarians immediately arrive at the scene. Their work vividly demonstrates the destructive impact of war on Ukraine’s cultural heritage and the efforts of Ukrainians to protect every object and relic.
