The Ukrainian Association of Professional Photographers, together with legal experts from the Ukrainian National Office for Intellectual Property and Innovations (UAPI/IP Office), has initiated the development of a suite of standard contract templates for photographers to use in their daily work. This package of documents will include licensing agreements, agreements on the assignment of economic rights, as well as agreements on the payment of royalties and author's remuneration. It is essential to adapt these templates to various fields of photography, as each niche has its own unique needs and operational specifics that must be addressed from a legal perspective. In addition, practical guidelines are planned to assist photographers in navigating any potential copyright disputes or challenges.

Daily terror against civilians: consequences of strikes on Kyiv, Boryspil, Odesa, and Kramatorsk
The beginning of the school year in Ukraine turned into a week of exhausting and brutal attacks. The most massive shelling targeted the Kyiv region, Odesa region, and frontline communities of Donetsk. This week among the affected sites in the capital: a railway depot, a higher education institution, and the Security Service of Ukraine building; UNESCO World Heritage sites also suffered damage. During the strikes, specialists from emergency and municipal services, as well as workers from the metallurgical sector, were killed: a State Emergency Service rescuer, two police officers, a utility worker, six railway workers, and five metallurgists. Units of the State Emergency Service and Air Defense Forces worked continuously under heavy smoke and constant risk of repeated strikes.

Ruins, fire, and bodies under cloth: Russia responded with terror to Ukraine’s proposal to cease fire
The beginning of May was marked by an escalation of Russian terror against Ukraine’s civilian population. In just two days, May 4 and 5, at least 41 people were killed and more than 180 injured. The most extensive destruction struck Merefa in Kharkiv region, Zaporizhzhia, Kramatorsk, and Dnipro. Beyond residential neighborhoods and enterprises, enemy targets included a kindergarten in Sumy and an administrative building in Chernihiv. Deliberate strikes continue against critical infrastructure and facilities of Ukrzaliznytsia. While performing their professional duties, two State Emergency Service rescuers and three employees of Naftogaz heroically lost their lives as a result of a treacherous repeated strike.

For five years, the team of the NGO “After Silence” has been collecting a photo archive from the time of World War II. Some of the images are donated for permanent preservation by private individuals, but most are found and purchased through online auctions and flea markets. The collection now includes more than a thousand such photographs.

They fought against houses and minibuses: a chronology of Russia’s indiscriminate attacks over the past week
Enemy terror in Odesa region continues: Russians carried out three attacks on the regional center and seriously damaged the district hospital in Izmail. In Kherson region, in addition to constant threats from the air, almost daily remote mining of civilian areas is recorded, according to the regional administration. Over the weekend, Russians struck western regions of Ukraine with drones. The enemy deliberately destroys energy facilities, ports, administrative buildings, gas stations, and public transport. In total, over the week Ukraine was attacked by about 1,600 Russian strike drones, nearly 1,100 guided aerial bombs, and three missiles, President Volodymyr Zelensky reported.
