Russian 'Fight for Peace' and Why It's Important to Know the Lessons of History
Russia has always engaged in deception by twisting and interpreting historical events. To explain the desire to seize foreign lands to a pro-Russian audience, Russia created a positive image of war—a "sacred" war with the noble goal of helping a "brotherly nation." At the same time, the enemy was always blamed for the war, as they allegedly forced Russia to fight.

How the Kremlin Releases Propaganda Against the Defenders of Donetsk Airport Every Year
In 2012, the International Airport “Donetsk” named after Sergei Prokofiev is a new runway, built for the European Championship, and the tallest control tower in Ukraine. Two years later — the gate to Donetsk, a strategic building and a fortification. It has been 11 years since the occupation forces blew up the floor in the new terminal of Donetsk airport on January 20, 2015 during the fighting to keep it. Many Ukrainian soldiers were killed. Every year, on January 20, Ukraine officially celebrates the Day of Remembrance of the defenders of Donetsk airport, bowing their heads in front of their feat. “Three coffins from one family... it's not just a picture — it's something that stays with you,” - Kostyantin Liberov about the sorrow of war in Sumy region.
“In Sumy, the earth listens to the sky” - this is how Konstantin Liberov says about the border city. Recently, together with his wife Vlada, he documented Sumy region, a region that since the summer of 2024 has become a new hot spot along the front line. The Liberians record war not as a chronicle of explosions, but as a human being on the verge. In a conversation for the UAPF, Konstantin talks about the silence that holds the pain, the shots that cannot be shot, and why the worst is not the front, but the internal border between “here” and “there”.

The city of salt, the city of war: Soledar through the eyes of Irina Rybakova
Before the full-scale invasion, Soledar was a deep rear — a city of mines, salt lakes, and silence. The war wiped it all away. All that remains are photographs, destroyed five-story buildings, and a single exhibition that has been turned into a memorial.
