At the same time, the enemy was always blamed for the war, as they allegedly forced Russia to fight.

Peeking at the war: the “Warhole” photo series by Georhii Ivanchenko — winner of the MYPH PHOTOGRAPHY PRIZE 2024
Photojournalist and documentary photographer Georhii Ivanchenko won the “MYPH PHOTOGRAPHY PRIZE 2024” with his series titled *Warhole*. Shot through a door peephole, the series offers an alternative way of looking at the war, leaving room for imagination and drawing attention to small but telling details. In these images, Ivanchenko combines documentary photography with artistic elements, using a deliberately restricted viewpoint to convey the broader context of the war.
